Planning a pool should not depend on how you use the web. We want every visitor to read our pages, use our quizzes and send us a project, whether you use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or reduced-motion settings.

Our target
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA across pooleratexas.com. We have not been independently audited, so we do not claim full conformance. We check pages with automated tools and by keyboard before they ship, and we fix what visitors report. Last updated October 2026.

What the site does
- A “Skip to main content” link on every page.
- Every menu, button, quiz answer and form field works with Tab, Enter, Space and Escape, with a visible focus ring.
- Labelled form fields, and errors shown in words, not by colour alone.
- Text and controls checked for contrast on light, dark and photo surfaces.
- Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages reflow down to a 320-pixel-wide screen without sideways scrolling.

Display settings
The Accessibility button in the footer opens a settings panel. Your choices are saved in this browser:
- Larger text: increase text throughout the site.
- Higher contrast: strengthen text, borders and page surfaces.
- Readable font: use a familiar system typeface.
- Emphasize links: underline links so they are easier to find.
- Reduce motion: stop decorative animation and smooth scrolling.
- Larger cursor: use a larger pointer on supported devices.
The panel is an extra. The site is built to work with it switched off.

Known limits
- We have not finished a full screen-reader (VoiceOver) review.
- Photo and video uploads on the start form depend on your device’s own file picker.
- Some project photos are illustrations; their descriptions say what they show.
